2025 End of GGA Season
As the clocks go back another growing season draws to an end, it’s time to put your feet up and start planning for 2026! Where did the time go????
The GGA – Gnosall Gardens and Allotments committee were very pleased with the uptake of the Spring flowering bulbs sale with over £800 worth of stock sold!! Don’t forget to take the opportunity of the dryer days to get these all in the ground now as it’s the best time for them to begin setting roots before the soil cools and winter really sets in!!
The Shed is now closed until the start of next season, further details of re opening will be discussed at the AGM thats now to be held in January rather than October as the year end has been revised.
AGM – WE NEED YOU!!
Notice from Jane Smith Gnosall Gardens & Allotments Chairperson 20-10-25
I am pleased to confirm that this year’s AGM will in fact take place in January 2026, as we have changed our year end to 31st October. Date and venue to follow shortly.
We would like to welcome garden and allotment members to join the committee as some current members reach the time at which they should step down. We currently have insufficient numbers to step into the roles that will be vacated, and without new candidates we may have to close the association.
Those looking to stand down, would obviously be available for a handover period, and would also be happy to continue shed duty etc as a volunteer if required.
The association has been going in some way or another since 1980’s, and it would be such a shame to see it close. The number of allotment holders has decreased, but the number of garden members has increased significantly and we would love to see this continue.
Please feel free to email me privately if you would like to become a committee member or should you have any questions.
Wishing you all well and hoping to see you at the AGM
Best wishes,
Jane.
